POTTED ROSES ( AVAILABLE ALL YEAR ROUND)

Potted roses can be planted throughout the year so there is no rush to plant your new roses immediately on bringing them home. BUT remember to always keep the pot well watered. When choosing a location in your garden to plant we recommend either full sun or sun and shade. Plant with our organic rose compost to give the rose a great start.

BARE ROOT ( AVAILABLE OCTOBER- JANUARY)

Plant immediately providing the ground is neither frozen nor waterlogged. Should your roses arrive when conditions are unsuitable for planting and a delay of more than ten to fourteen days are expected, we recommend that you heel them in until the conditions improve. If the roots appear at all dry, soak in a bucket of water before planting.

HELPFUL TIP

Dig a hole large enough to allow the roots to spread out, without cramping their natural shape, and deep enough so that the bud union is 1/2 to 1 inch below finished soil level. Cover the roots with soil a little at a time lifting the plant gently so that the soil can percolate through the roots, and 'heel in' firmly between each spade-fill of soil.
